Commercial Flooring

From a wealth of European know how in water and urethane based flooring adhesives, and epoxy based protective flooring coatings, technology transfer has allowed the Sika Industrial Group to offer our commercial flooring customers an alternative to solvent based adhesive systems for resilient flooring materials. Containing less than 1% VOC, our newest product is a urethane-based adhesive that bonds to a variety of flooring substrates including EPDM rubbers, wood and concrete.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, Sikaflex® flooring adhesive affords open times long enough for typical installations, but short enough to establish a quick bond and superior green strength. When properly applied, properties of the adhesive also eliminate excessive edge curl – no priming required. The adhesive has excellent trowelability, extended shelf life and should be considered when pursuing the “latest” advancements in flooring adhesive technology.

In addition our Acoubond Flooring Adhesive system, and one part polyurethane wood floor adhesives produce permanent, but flexible bonds for both hardwood and engineered flooring products
