Sika is the market leader in Metal Construction sealants and adhesives, supplying high performance quality products for multiple applications; providing weather-tight seals in the most demanding applications – from Standing Seam Roof (SSR) end laps, roof curbs and vents, to vertical wall panels and everything in between.
Sika has more than four decades of experience supplying innovative and focused product solutions for the Metal Construction industry. Sika’s product technology offering for this market include butyl rubber sealant tapes (multiple formulations), butyl rubber caulk, low modulus assembly silicone, and a variety of one-part polyurethane sealants and adhesives. In addition, Sika offers a range of Methylmethacrylate (MMA) structural adhesives which offer rapid cure at room temperature, and produce bonds which are more capable of efficient load transfer and stress distribution than competitive bonding products which concentrate stress at the bond edge only.
Our product line includes a broad array of sealant products developed specifically for painted metals, aluminized steel, KYNAR 500TM , GALVALUMETM, Zincalume® and ZINCGRIPTM, as well as steel, wood, and reinforced fiberglass.
Tape products are available in a wide variety of profiles and widths, and include SikaLastomer®, SikaLastomer® with shims, and SikaLastomer® “Triple bead” tapes. Triple bead tapes are ideal for penetrable installations including roof curbs and vent jacks. SikaLastomer® non-skinning, non-hardening butyl caulk stands up to intense water head pressures and can be field- or factory-applied using standard automated equipment. Sikaflex® one-part polyurethanes seal everything from windows and doors, to roof gutters, eaves, roof curbs, roof jacks and skylights.
